Drew Bickel, Coach
Drew has been coaching youth sport for 30+ years. Founding the Fairfield Police Activity League (PAL) basketball program over 20 years ago, Drew is a Director and active coach along with his son, Jeff. Together they founded and coach the Fairfield PAL Ray Greenberg League, which offers kids with disabilities the opportunity to join in on the game they both love. Drew played both basketball and football at Portsmouth High School in Rhode Island. Upon graduation, he went on to play basketball and football for the University of Connecticut.

Jeff Bickel, Coach
Jeff attended and played high school basketball and football at Fairfield High School. After graduating FHS, Jeff went on to play 2 years of college football at Hartwick College. Jeff has been coaching the Fairfield Police Activity League (PAL) for the past 8 years, in which he grew up playing for. In addition, he has been coaching the Fairfield Greenberg league since 2010.

Our Mission
We believe that basketball is a game of basic fundamentals. We feel that if the players develop their game under a fundamentally sound program the game will be easier for them and they will be way ahead of the competition. Our approach is driven by the idea of fundamental development mixed with pickup basketball. The concept is that pickup games done after fundamental exercises help establish the sound techniques in a open hoops environment. We also use video to help establish sound fundamental shooting and passing techniques. Most players have never seen their play on video in a teaching environment. We have developed quick video lessons that allow the player to find easy changes to enhance their ability.
